About Us
Midland Creative Projects Limited was founded in March 2007 by Jonathan Davidson, who had previously been a partner in Book Communications and before that Literature Officer for Birmingham City Council.
Jonathan has worked for over twenty years in arts management and literature development, including working as a literature officer for local authorities and organising book festivals. He is joint-founder and Artistic Director of the Birmingham Book Festival. He is also a writer, and his radio plays are regularly broadcast on BBC Radios 3 and 4. His stage adaptation of Mary Webb’s novel, Precious Bane, is touring with Interplay Theatre during 2009.
Midland Creative Projects Limited works with many freelance writers and artists. It has one part-time member of staff – Sara Beadle – who programmes the Birmingham Book Festival as well as working on other projects.
