Creative & Cultural Skills Literature Workforce Development Plan 2009 – 2010

Midland Creative Projects Limited worked for Creative & Cultural Skills (the Government’s sector workforce development agency) and Arts Council England to draft a Literature Workforce Development Plan. We worked in partnership with the independent consultant Jill Bellamy. This work included drafting a document that identified the challenges facing the Literature Sector and suggesting recommendations for ways of supporting the current and future workforce.

Cumbria County Council Writing Development Plan (2008)

Midland Creative Projects Limited worked with Cumbria County Council to devise a plan for the development of creative writing activities in the County.  This work included an extensive survey of existing provision and detailed negotiation with potential delivery partners, including the Higher Education institutions and BBC Cumbria.

Poole and Bournmouth Councils Literature Development Plan (2008)

Midland Creative Projects Limited worked with these two local authorities to look at provision of literature development activity. This included interviewing existing providers, locally-based writers and potential funders. A plan of action was produced which has subsequently been implemented.
