Training
Our training work is aimed at public library staff and arts development staff. It focuses on sharing our skills in project management and covers reader development, literature development, festival management and related areas. Most of our training is bespoke and we are happy to put together programmes of training with freelance colleagues.
Current Training work includes…
In association with National Poetry Day we are providing National Poetry Day 2010 Library Staff Training . Bookings are being taken for half-day or full day sessions from May to September 2010.
On behalf of Write On!, Writing West Midlands‘ education programme, we will be running a programme of training and skill-sharing sessions for professional writers working with young people and teachers in schools, in association with the National Association of Writers in Education.
We will be continuing to provide occassional one-day staff training sessions for public library services. With the writer and trainer Brenda Read-Brown we will be developing a new programme of one day and half day training sessions for public libraries linked to key promotional initiatives. Our first will be on getting the most from National Poetry Day.
